the mission

Artemis is committed to building ecological literacy and fostering a more resilient community in the face of climate disaster. Our free and sliding scale programs center justice, reciprocity and skill building for a livable future.

the objectives

01

Reciprocity

We believe in a culture of giving and being of service to one another, our larger community and the planet from which we extract so much. Reciprocity is the act of committing to balance in our relationships.

02

Justice

Land Stewards have been undervalued in society since colonization began. Our work uplifts hands-on knowledge and ancestral ways of knowing. We specifically offer free and sliding scale programs to ensure this knowledge stays with people, to all of whom it belongs.

03

Skill Building

Resilient communities are built by people with a shared purpose and collaborative approach to problem solving. We strive to build collaborative and creative networks for the future we face together.

the birth

Artemis operates out of the OUR TEMENOS studio after hours. Our programs include sliding-scale and free workshops, artists-in-residence opportunities, expanded community partnerships, and personal development initiatives for youth in the green economy.

Why us and why now?
With forecasted reductions in funding for environmental initiatives, we are committed to sustaining programs that weave ecological awareness into creative and accessible frameworks. We promise to create opportunities where social justice, environmental activism and creative exploration intersect, offering unique solutions to today’s most pressing challenges.

Use your resources to seed new possibilities.

Join us in creating a more resilient, more creative and ultimately more collaborative city!
